The Last Reached Initiative will engage people groups in different countries and across various language groups.

MISSION & HISTORY.

Mobilizing and training believers to share the Gospel, disciple, and launch churches among last reached peoples.

In light of the fact that Christ has not yet returned and according to 2 Peter 3:11-12, Christians have been asked to live expectantly of Christ’s return and to work hastening His return. The Last Reached Initiative was started to be an exciting and challenging movement among churches around the world to complete Matthew 28:19, reaching all nations who have not yet heard who Jesus is.

OUR BELIEFS.

  1. Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation from sin and its consequence, death. He alone can give new life to those who entrust their lives to Him.  Acts 4:12
     

  2. The Bible is the authoritative basis for what we believe and practice. Its message must be brought to every generation in a relevant, understandable way.  Hebrews 4:12
     

  3. Jesus’ Great Commandments to love God and our neighbors are central to our walk as Christians. Everything we do should flow out of our love for God and the people that He loves. Mark 12:30-31
     

  4. Jesus’ Great Commission is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Our prayer is that everyone will become a fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ.  Matthew 28:18-20
     

  5. Prayer is key to discovering God’s will and unleashing His power, and it is the beginning of God’s work. People empowered by God’s Spirit can turn their world upside down for Christ!  Ephesians 6:18-20, Colossians 4:2-4
     

  6. God’s Word can transform our daily lives, equip us for every good work, and prepare us for eternity. We need to hear, read, study and apply the truths of Scripture to know and do God’s will.  II Timothy 3:16 Hebrews 4:12-13

  • What is LRI's Vision?
    To participate in the finishing of the Great Commission, by mobilizing men and women to share the Gospel, disciple and launch churches among last reached peoples. We will then celebrate together what God has done!
  • How does my church get involved?
    The Last Reached Initiative exhorts churches to embrace a sense of urgency to deliver the good news to all peoples of the world. (Matt. 24:14) It is our belief that every church should emphasize to their body the importance of ensuring every people group has been invited into the Kingdom. (Rev. 5:9-10) Prayerfully, this will lead to the Holy Spirit identifying those from your church who will pray, serve, fund, and go.   • Does this type of work pose safety/security concerns?
    Yes, both the training of nationals and the work of sending them to often dangerous areas pose concerns at times. The identity of the trainees and staff, as well as the specific areas they are being sent to are often withheld for security reasons.
  • How do I become involved as an interested individual?

  • How can I be a part of the prayer effort of the Last Reached Initiative?
    Our battle is prayer and through prayer we appropriate the victory Jesus bought at great cost. In obeying the Great Commission while following the Great Commandment, we pursue the Great Commitment to a lifestyle of unceasing prayer.” Participation in the Last Reached Initiative Prayer Strategy will be a rich and amazing opportunity to draw the body of Christ together in prayer.   • What would a Last Reached Prayer Captain become involved in?
    1.Be a man or woman of devoted prayer. 2.Mobilize 10 Prayer Lieutenants who will further develop their networks by mobilizing 10 prayer Warriors. 3.The Last Reached Prayer Network will be empowered by 5 traveling Prayer Teams of Prayer Scouts. These Prayer Scouts will serve as the eyes and ears of the Prayer Captains. They will travel to the local cities which will serve as centers
